We are regularly participating in cultural events and community gatherings where we do Ghanaian and other African traditional performances. We love festivals, both traditional and those with a modern touch, and we attend them whenever possible.
Closer to home, we drum, dance and sing at the birthday celebrations, weddings and funerals. We also entertain at corporate events and celebrations.
We teach drumming and dancing in schools and hold workshops.
Although we specialize in West African dances, mostly from Ghana, Benin and Togo, you can see us performing other African dances. Here are some of our favorites:
Atsia - the dance performed mostly by women, strongly influenced by the lead drum. The dancers use horsetails for the performance. The name of the dance means "style or display" in the Ewe language.
Adzogbo - the dance originated as a seduction dance, where the men participants would display their charms (juju) to women. This music and dance was brought from Benin to Togo and later Ghana, and through the years it's function has changed. Nowadays it is performed by southeastern Ewe of Ghana for entertainment during festivals and other social occasions.
